I'm learning a lot while studying at the CIA Language Institute in Cebu, Philippines. During the weekdays, I attend classes and complete assignments in English all day long, and my listening and speaking skills are gradually improving. After class, I review in the study room to fill in any gaps, and I try to have short conversations in English with my friends. Over the weekend, I visited LG Garden with friends. There were a variety of souvenir shops there, so we had a great time choosing gifts for family and friends. The unique Cebu colors and designs were rare to find in Korea, so it was fun to browse. After shopping, we stopped by a Korean restaurant for some noodles and pork belly. After a long time, I tasted warm soup and meat, and it brought back memories of Korea and warmed my heart. I was truly blessed to be studying here and experiencing such delicious food and a new culture. This language study abroad program was a valuable opportunity to not only improve my English skills, but also build memories and connections, and it will be a great help in my future.
