After coming to the CIA for language training, the biggest change was in my quiet and passive personality.
Because I had many private classes and my roommate changed every month or two, it was very difficult to adapt if I stayed still like before.
Whenever I met a new face, even if it was unfamiliar to me, I started greeting people with great joy if they were from Korea or with curiosity if they were from other countries. The number of friends I greeted more easily than I expected increased.
Talking with my friends gave me the opportunity to learn about cultures I had never heard of before and to explore different places in the Philippines together.
The CIA expanded my narrow circle of friends to the
world. In particular, my friend ALISIA, whom I
met in a group class, was so
friendly from the first time we met that I exchanged Instagram accounts and
spoke to her first.
Sometimes, when I was in a foreign country and I really missed home, it was very helpful to visit and talk to him. My friend graduated first, but we promised to go on a trip to each other's countries later and became good friends who we still keep in touch with.
