I was able to improve my English skills during a two-month training program at the CIA Language Institute in Mactan. The daily schedule of four hours of one-on-one lessons and three hours of group lessons allowed me to develop a balanced approach to all skills, including conversation, listening, and grammar. The one-on-one lessons, in particular, provided me with meticulous attention to my pronunciation and speaking habits. Dormitory life was convenient, and the meals served in the on-campus cafeteria were varied and never boring. Weekends spent visiting nearby beaches and tourist attractions with friends from different countries, allowing me to experience the culture and people, were also great memories. At first, speaking English was a bit scary, but I gained confidence through repeated use in class and in real life. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to make international friends while studying intensively in a short period of time!
